Lift Up David & Holly from the Ashes

We are David and Holly. On November 16, 2018 our cabin burned down in Boulder Creek, CA from a wild fire under investigation. We ask to be lifted up from the ashes by you.
We lost everything and need your support to rebuild. December 7th, thanks to the assistance from Go Fund Me, we moved in with an amazing roommate in Scott’s Valley, CA; we are now sharing a lovely mountain home.
The outpouring of your care and kindness are received with great gratitude. We have been gifted donations of clothes, dog crate with dog food and kitchen supplies.
Friends from Boulder Creek took us in right after the fire for the last three weeks.
We have had tremendous support from former California Fire Fighters, locals-coordinating efforts to support other wildfires, Wild Roots family, our families of origin, memebrs of the program and the Tantra Yoga community have all bolstered us with love.
This is a reminder that a Higher Power is in control and we are safe, healthy and blessed to be alive.
David and Holly met 2/14/2016 we moved into the cabin 11/2/2018. David now works seasonally for CALFire as a defensible space inspector, after 20 seasons of service as a CALFire firefighter.
Holly was a yoga teacher and now works part-time at Wild Roots in Felton, CA. They share a dog, Maui, a love for the Santa Cruz Mountains and enjoy live Roots Reggae music.
The fire’s origin is still unknown and burned 10 acres in deeply wooded area, inaccessible and steep. CALFire and Boulder Creek Volunteer Fire Department knocked it back quickly however our home and all that we had was lost. Regretfully no renters insurance was available for the off-grid cabin.
We have and will continue to donate 10% of Go Fund Me net proceeds to local fire departments.
