Dave/Karen Krone-One Last Shot

This story could be so long, but I'm going to make it short as possible.
Dave and Karen Krone have been dealt some tough times through the course of their lives for the last several years. Karen has been seeing doctors in several states for her health issues for many years and has been so hard on the family and finances, to say the least.
Dave was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bile Duct Cancer last year which has metastasized into his lymphnodes. It is inoperable. For most of 2018 Dave has been in treatment of some sort and the bills just keep adding up.
He is on his second cycle of chemo and after he completes it, at the end of July, he will have a CT scan to see if it has shrunk his tumors and lymphnodes. If so, he will continue with this type of chemo. If not, he will be looking at Targeted therapy and/or Immunology. There are also some trials that are being conducted, so he might end up doing one of those, but time will tell.
This type of cancer is rare so they don't know a lot about it, but they are trying to.
Newest Update–One Last Shot
So now, were going to a new doctor, Dr. Dudek at Regions in St. Paul. He wants to put Dave on a trial of two different drugs. One he gets every 3 weeks intravenously (immunotherapy) at Regions and the other he takes orally each day (targeted therapy). Neither are approved for his type of cancer so they have to go thru a process to get it paid for by the drug companies. Should take about 2 weeks. This is where the fund me page is needed, again to say the least.
They are also going to do a different genetic study that will take about 3 weeks. The results from that may change the game plan, but we shall see.
This doc has two other trials beginning in the middle of Feb but he doesn't want Dave to wait that long and thinks this is his best shot. Of course there are no guarantees. He had only two other patients he treated with Dave's cancer. One person it worked well, for a while, and the other, not so much.
Dave has decided to give it a shot, with the hope that he doesn't have too many side effects. If he does he will pull off. We have met with Hospice and just have to give them a call when we need to.
Our biggest hope is that he gets some more time and who knows, a miracle could still happen.
