Dave Rodriguez Recovery Fund

The Dave Rodriguez Recovery Fund is ran by his two sons, Derek and Mason Rodriguez. We have started this campaign in hopes to raise enough money to cover partial costs of his surgeries and recovery. On May 1st, 2019 our dad was in an accident at work to where he was thrown off of his stand behind skid steer and took the impact on his head against the bucket of the machine. He has suffered many facial fractures and had to undergo life saving surgery where half of his skull was removed to relieve the pressure on the brain due to bleeding. Right now he is heavily sedated in a medically induced coma in order to keep his brain as relaxed as possible. The neurosurgeon told us that these first weeks are going to be crucial to his recovery, and will determine if there will be a chance of a recovery at all. He is already showing signs of reflexes in the brain when it is stimulated, which is a very good sign and has given us hope. Once he makes it through these first weeks, the rehabilitation can last at least a year if everything goes well. Since both of us sons are finishing school this year, we don't currently have the funds to pay for his surgeries and all his medical expenses. Our dad is a very strong and stubborn person, and we are trying to stay as optimistic as possible for a healthy and speedy recovery.
