Dave Bernardo's Fight

As many of you already know, Dave Bernardo has suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury. Dave is currently in the trauma unit at Nassau University Medical Center. Right now Dave has feeling in all of his extremities but unfortunately has currently lost all motor function. Dave is surrounded by family and friends and has recieved an outpouring of support from many. Dave has perfect cognitive function allowing him to communicate with all of us. Those who know Dave definitely know how strong and hard working he is, which is going to be pivotal in this long hard journey to recooperation. Dave is a son a brother, nephew, cousin, friend, coworker but most importantly Dave is someone we all know so well and love so much. As Dave has a spot in all of our thoughts in the past week and coming weeks and months, he is about to embark on toughest battle of his life in rehabilitation of this traumatic injury. It is with that that I ask for any donation that will be used by his parents to offset the overwhelming medical costs associated with all of this.
