Date night for Gayle and Brett

Great News Everyone!!!! I have secured two tickets to Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour! However, I will not be attending. But the great news is a very giving and loving person and her husband can! My dear friend Gayle Walls has a bucket list. It has decreased exponentially as she has become the only caregiver for her sweet husband Brett. As many of you know, several years ago Brett suffered a life changing stroke. He now is “locked in”. Though he is locked in, he and his incredible wife deserve to have the opportunity to get out and cross something off of the bucket list. I am going to nominate Brett for a grant through a charity called “Do it for the Love”. It is a group that helps people with disabilities in attending concerts and supporting them. I learned of them while attending a show last year at US Bank Arena! In the meantime, I called the arena and spoke to Chris in the Box Office. (HE IS AMAZING!!!) The show was already at capacity for the wheelchair accessibility section and they are only on presale now so I thought it wasn’t looking good for tomorrow. However, someone cancelled and relinquished his tickets. They are being held and my plan is to get friends and family of mine, Brett’s, and Gayle’s to help me get them there with this go fund me. It is a surprise from his sweet friends and family. I would also love to help treat them to dinner and if possible handicap accessibility driver so Gayle can truly cut a rug, say a proper farewell to Sir Elton and not have to worry about anything. (Especially if we can help win this grant and maybe meet him).  The tickets are plaza level, in the disability access area. They are face value directly from US Bank through Ticketmaster. The cost of each seat is $224.50. It will be totally accessible for Brett. I was also thinking of trying to do a Jeff Ruby dinner since Brett loves steak, but open to ideas. Let’s give this amazing couple a much deserved night out. It will only be their second “date” since Brett’s stroke over 4 years ago. It is going to be awesome friends!
