Darrell Sandifer Cancer Fund

Darrell was diagnosed with Colon-rectal cancer in the fall of 2016. He has already completed 6 weeks of oral chemo pills and daily radiation and is now half way through with IV chemo treatments. He will find out after the chemo if surgery will be needed. His most recent CT scan was very promising. He has been an example of tenacity and not backing down from a fight. Even during chemo treatments he has still been working as a roofer, only missing a handful of days. His hard work and determination that have brought him through life,are apparent in every day he has been fighting this battle. He is on the home stretch now with chemo and as stated by his daughter Dara "we have been so overwhelmed with the support and prayers of not only our families and church friends, but also our Lynchburg College family". We hope that you will consider contributing to this wonderful family.

The Lynchburg College Softball Program will be hosting a double header in honor of Darrell on April 2, 2017 beginning at 1:30pm against Eastern Mennonite University. On this day donations will be accepted and colon cancer t-shirts will be available for purchase. All donations and proceeds will go directly to the family.
