Dany Franchi - Anson Funderburgh CD

Dany is a very special blues singer/guitarist. I first met him at the 2016 International Blues Competition in Memphis, Tennessee. A friend approached me and asked if the Dany Franchi Band could sit in for a few songs at the event my band was hosting. Dany was competing and has just performed in the semi-finals. I was immediately impressed by his resectful and apreciative attitude. The band took the stage and Dany blew us all away with his great singing and informed, skillful guitar style. He knew that Anson Funderburgh was a good friend of mine and said he was a huge fan and that Anson was one of his biggest influences. It was obvious to me that both Anson and Ronnie Earl have made considerable contributions to his performing style. I told Dany I would introduce him to Anson over Facebook.
This summer Don Ritter of Category 5 Amps invited Dany to fly from his home in Italy to perform at the Dallas International Guitar Festival. Don arranged for Anson and Dany to meet and do some jamming one afternoon. Anson was very impressed with Dany's attitude, guitar style, and vocals. Their time together ended with Anson offering to produce an album for Dany.
Plans are being made for the album to be recorded by Stuart Sullivan at Wire Studios in Austin, Texas, in early 2017. Anson Funderburgh will produce (assisted by yours truly) and will guest on guitar. The backing band will consist of many of Austin's finest, including Wes Star on drums and Johnny Bradley (Gary Clark Jr.) on bass, with more very special guests to be announced.
You knew this was coming; Here's where you come in!
We need your help to make this project happen. For the music we love to survive, young artists like Dany Franchi need to be encouraged and supported. Being from Italy, Dany will have the opportunity to promote this album on both sides of the Atlantic, and we know it will be a huge success.
Anson Funderburgh asked me to mention that he will be honored to work with Dany, and is looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate on this project.
Dany is one of my favorite young blues artists. I'm looking forward to donating my time in the studio to help futher his career.
