Here in Danville, there’s plenty to look at, take in, enjoy and more. It was formally home to one of the largest textile mills in the United States. We house a minor league baseball team for the Atlanta Braves! We have a revitalized and restructred downtown area known as the River District that has upscale dining, a independent brewery and more. Civil war buffs and historians recognize Danville as the last capital of the confederacy when Lee surrendered. The famous train wreck of the old 97 happened here. We have a little of everything except things to entertain our kids, youth, teen and even adults besides movies, the park and live music at restaurants. So Soundwave a Entertainment, Danville and southern Virginia’s only full service entertainment company had the luck and pleasure of working with Xtreme Force Productions, a Hollywood actor and stuntman group who travel the country putting on performances and more. They do live shows and incorporate elements of superhero characters. Do battle. And give martial arts demos. They also do this in the name of anti bullying. We decided together to put on the best show and comic
con type event possible. We have the building secured at the Averett Grant Center and Sports complex. The date is set. September 22, 2018. 10am-10pm. You’re going to have the above mentioned stunt shows and performances. Lightsaber training with professional stuntmen and martial arts black belts. Nerf gun wars. Artists. Illustrators. Toy collectors and vendors. Comic collectors and vendors. We are even having pro wrestling the majority of the event. Here is where we need sponsorship help from inviduals or businesses. We have secured five celebrities so far and will secure more. But as anyone knows, it can get costly fast. We have to make sure they are taken care of travel, lodging, meals and their booking fees. Go online and look for yourself for whoever you’d like to see. Chances are they are $1000 and up. We are going to seek out sponsors from local businesses but we’d appreciated our fans and public’s help as well. I promise you that you won’t regret it and we will have someone there for everyone and every genre. So far we have cartoons, tv, movies and wrestling celebrities. We’d like to add more. But it’s costly. Any help you can give us to achieve our goals of making this event a home run on its first try is appreciated. It doesn’t matter if it’s the bare minimum. Help us draw in someone quality celebrities. So far we have the blue power ranger and Courage the cowardly dog. We want this to be fun for the kids. The teens.
