Dante’s treatments

We adopt to give the lost a better opportunity for a place and family to belong to ...Dante, our first adopted little fur person, who is only six years old...

At first It just seemed like a mysterious illness of symptoms none of us could figure out. One day after one of his comprehensive exams Dante started drinking lots of water like a sponge. Then, not much longer after that he would be at his little food bowl looking unsure with tail down, then the walking in circles thing started and other new symptoms. After a visit with our pet clinic for what looked like was a seizure, we were referred to an animal hospital. It seemed the seizures were getting more frequent, however, saying his name would get his attention. So now, after the MRI showed our little man here has a brain tumor.... It brought tears to my eyes to see his little head up on that monitor and watch it progress through the image,...and the tears just kept coming.  Who would have guessed? It has been offered and so now he is getting Tomotherapy.

Unfortunately, our funds are playing out. Most people would say put Dante down, but he is a little fighter. Our first little adoptee. And as long as he doesn’t seem in pain, stopped eating etc., he is aware and has wanted to play with our other two dogs.... but his condition is robbing him of energy. Yet, he will jet out the door to go chase a squirrel like nothing is wrong. So we are trying to give him a fuller life. I don’t think it would have been offered if  it weren’t an option.
