From Danny:

I've been a comedian for 15 years and have always wanted to go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the biggest festival in the world with 50,000 shows taking place in one month in Edinburgh.

Now, I'm finally living out my dreams and bringing my one man show "Broke As A Joke," directed by Matty Goldberg, to the festival in August. My wife Kylie Ora Lobell is producing it. It's truly a family affair.

I will be doing 25 shows throughout the month. I'm investing a lot into it and I hope you will be able to contribute. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my show and for supporting me.

Here is how we arrived at $10,000:

The Space UK venue: $1,100
Accommodations for Edinburgh: $2,400
Publicity: $2,200
Flights: $2,300
Outdoor advertising: $700
Brochure advertising: $1,100
Flyer printing: $200

Here is a press release about the show.

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND --- Comedian Danny Lobell is bringing his one-man show "Broke As A Joke" to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from August 4-25. The show will be held at the Space at Jurys at 43 Jeffrey Street at 16:05 every day but Saturday.

In "Broke As A Joke," Lobell, who is half-Scottish and American, talks about his lifelong struggle with money and all the hilarity it's produced. He has done everything to make money, from working alongside a geriatric hawking Jackie Mason's merchandise to breeding hairless designer cats and buying a rooster with his gangster immigrant neighbor to sell eggs. None of his efforts have proven to be successful, but Lobell expounds on all the laughs he's had along the way. Like any millennial, he knows how to hustle, especially in these tough financial times.

Lobell has performed in the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, receiving accolades from the Scotsman for his spot-on impressions of his grandmum and her friends. He has been on "This American Life," "Risk!," and "WTF with Marc Maron" and appeared in The New York Times. He runs the popular philosophy and comedy podcast "Modern Day Philosophers."
