Daniel vs Cancer

Donation protected

Recently, one of our good friends and colleague, Daniel Cruz, was diagnosied with testicular cancer.

He's already been in the fight versus cancer for a few weeks now, but we felt that we wanted to find a way to help.

Daniel has always been the most kind, caring man, and he's the first to lend a hand when you need one.

So, we wanted to do the same.

Daniel's beautiful wife, Sarina, has written this heartfelt letter about their story, and we wanted to share it with you.

Here is Daniel's story:

"Daniel is a husband, a brother, a son, a friend and a man of God.

This past year has been the most life-changing year for him. He shot his first international wedding, married the love of his life, Sarina, and was diagnosed with a form of testicular cancer called Embryonal Carcinoma.

About 1 in every 263 males will be diagnosed with testicular cancer at some point in his life. Daniel was diagnosed with pure Embryonal Carcinoma, making it a more rare type of cancer. He underwent surgery to remove his left testicle and rid his body of the tumor.

With that being said, this is not the worst of it… What we thought was contained had already spread to Daniel’s lungs, creating cancerous nodules on both lungs. This deemed Daniel as a stage 3 cancer patient, meaning even more aggressive chemotherapy treatment.

This news to his family and friends is not only devastating, but eye opening to all of the lives Daniel has touched.

With Daniel being a talented and humble leader in the photography community, it has really hit home for a lot of us and brought the realization of how precious this thing called life truly is.

Daniel, normally being a private person, has chosen to be completely transparent through his journey with cancer. He explains that “Prayer, family and friends have been my absolute strength and courage, and thats why I need all of you beside me.”

Daniel’s chemotherapy treatment is going to be overwhelming, not only on his spirit and his body, but on his financial stability as well. Chemotherapy will leave him unable to perform his job as a wedding photographer, and his wife Sarina has taken some unpaid leave from work to care for him, thus leading us here.

We, his friends and family, stand beside Daniel in his fight against cancer to not only beat this, but to help bring awareness to those we love.

This GoFundMe will help Daniel and his family with covering his inability to work during treatment, Sarina's leave from work, sperm banking, extra expenses during treatment and everyday life, and anything extra will be donated to the ongoing research of cancer or to someone else in need.

This GofundMe will not only help Daniel and his fight, but will also change the lives of others."

Please consider donating to Daniel's fight versus cancer.  Even sharing his story on social media would really help raise awareness to our campaign.

Let's help Daniel beat cancer.
