Support for Daniela Hudson Family
With a heavy heart, I ask for your help.
My friend and colleague, Daniela Hudson unexpectedly
lost her husband David on May 5th, 2017. Daniela is one of the finest people that I have ever had the honor of knowing.
David left behind a lovely wife and two young children. As you can imagine, the family is grieving right now and the last thing we want is for them to worry about finances. Living expenses are only the beginning for this family as they will need to find a new home. To the best of our knowledge there was no life insurance in place further complicating matters.
Daniela is a dedicated physical education teacher at the Hillier School and is passionate about her work. She also has built a growing business teaching kids how to ride bikes. Her children Diego and Martina are currently enrolled at Armstrong Elementary and are very sweet kids.
Please show your support by providing whatever financial help you can. Daniela and her family will make it through this difficult period with our assistance.
We need to raise the money as quickly as possible. The funds will be used to cover arrangements and living requirements. Please feel free to forward this request to anyone you think could provide help. All funds raised will be controlled directly by Daniela.
Thank you so much for your support.
Best, Dawn Capp
2 years ago today my husband David died of suicide. The kids have attended a grieving camp last summer, then also have done play therapy, music therapy and support groups for children.
The pain of growing up without a father comes and goes.
I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to help us through a very difficult time in our lives. Without your help and support things would have been very different.
Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
We are not doing family therapy anymore, but the kids are doing Music therapy and one on one Play therapy once a week. My late husband’s family which are 30 minutes away do not see my children or call them (by their choice) so I decided to enroll them in the Big Brother Big Sister program. Diego and Martina got accepted and now each of them have a mentor that comes to pick them up once a week to do things with them, so that has been a very positive experience.
I did 7 weeks of trauma therapy since I was the one that found David and that was extremely helpful.
I learned that being open about what happened helps my family heal. There’s a long road ahead and the kids are still grieving in different ways but we have to keep on going.
I’m still working as a PE teacher (I’m working an extra hour a day) and I’m still doing bike lessons on the weekends to make ends meet.
I’m always very hopeful in the future.
Thank you so much to everyone from the bottom of my heart. I could not have done it without your financial help.
The kids and I are still in family counseling. Diego and Martina are also doing music therapy and group therapy.
We have been through every holiday without David and some were harder than others. I believe that time will keep helping us heal.
I wanted to thank everyone because your help has been tremendous in a time of need.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Daniela, Diego and Martina
I am so incredibly thankful for all of your support. These last few months have been the hardest three months of my life. After my husband David passed away, my children and my life have been turned upside down. I am forever grateful for the community coming together and providing us support. Your funds have allowed us to weather this difficult period and get our lives back on track. The kids and I are going to counseling each week and we will continue as long as needed. I did get a kitty cat for the kids as a special gift and they love him. I also joined a support group for adults. Many thanks to you all for your kindness!
People have done so many things that again you have truly showed me your heart. God is great and he is going to show us the way.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your continued support.
