Daniel Music Therapy advocacy in Mongolia

Dear all
In my upcoming solo trip to Ulaanbaarar Mongolia (6-15 December 2019), I will be partnering with a local Christian Non Govt Organizations to implement and advocate a series of Music Therapy Programs and skills training to better equip care givers in providing appropriate and relevant music based interventions for children with disabilities and hospice care residents.
Reasons for making this trip
The word of God in Matthew 5:13-16 says we are called to be the salt and light of this world. It is indeed a privilege to be used by God in passing on the blessings that God has given me to the disadvantaged.
Mongolia is a 3rd world country lacking in up to date allied health clinical interventions due to poverty and a myriad of socio economic issues. Given my connections with Christian Non-Govt Organizations in Ulaanbaatar, I believe that it is an opportunity to partner and support them in their work in reaching out to their local communities and showing God's love to them.
The agenda of my trip would be to
1. Conduct a Music Therapy Conference for aged care staffs and special needs carers
- Music therapy interventions for dementia and end of life care (Hospice)
- Music therapy interventions and skills training for special needs children care
2. Provide on site training and coaching for special needs educators at a local disability school
3. Providing on site training for staffs at a local hospice with regards to applying music therapy based interventions for dementia and end of life care.
The costs for this trip would cover
1. Flights from Melbourne to Ulaanbaatar
2. Travel expenses and insurance
3. Food and accommodation
4. Interpreter allowance
5. Resources for training
Your support would make a big difference in enabling up to date clinically proven interventions to be delivered to the vulnerable populations through the support of the local Christian NGOs.
