Daniel "Dutch" Inwood's Support Page

Daniel "Dutch" Inwood was headed down Southeast Blvd when an unlicensed driver pulled out directly in front of him and stopped. On coming traffic, run directly into her, or go around the back of her SUV were the choices he saw; as he was waving her on to finish pulling out of his way. He committed to going in behind her. She then threw her Yukon into reverse taking away his only safe route. He was unable to make it around her and ended up sliding into her back quarter panel hard enough he took out her back brakelight housing. Dutch was rolling out of the street dragging the lower half of his leg behind him. He was screaming in pain and losing blood fast having severed the arteries below the knee.  She knew he had run into her, saw the sparks as the motorcycle spun down the road, and heard his horrific screams of pain. She made the choice to take off and leave him for dead.  Thank God above, Dr. Jim Shelby DDS was driving home; seconds after she fled the scene. He instantly put the horrible scene together in his head and jumped into action. Dr. Shelby's quick thinking is all that saved Dutch's life. Had he not stopped to help, Dutch would have had only a few minutes to live.
This page is set up in hopes of helping Dutch with the incurred costs from the amputation. To make his home more accessable to him, and assist with bills that are going to be hard to cover as he is now limited in his self employeed business. Every bit helps. Thank you
