Dan's Chordoma Cancer Journey

Dan King received a one-in-a-million diagnoses in March. He was diagnosed with a chordoma, which is a rare cancer that forms in the bones of the spine. Dan, Natalie, and their 5 children will be temporarily relocating from Alaska to California where a team of surgeons at UCLA Medical
Center has the skills necessary to treat this condition. He will be undergoing surgeries on June 26 th and July 3 rd to remove the tumor and all that is associated with that, followed up by radiation.
Dan will be spending approximately 3 weeks in the hospital initially and could be off work for around 6 months. As the sole provider for his family, he is looking at a huge financial burden on his family. They are going to need a great deal of support physically, emotionally, spiritually,
and financially.
He has worked hard as a physical therapist helping others recover from injuries or surgeries and has always been willing to lend a hand to others when needed. Hopefully some of that generosity can now be returned as he is in need of our support. His parents and siblings are hoping to help raise money to ease the financial stress for him, his wife and his children so that he can focus on healing. Any money raised will go to help with transportation costs, housing and living expenses for him and his family, and any medical expenses not covered by insurance.It will be a long process and we want to help ease the financial burden.
