Dan the Man's Medical Bill

Donation protected
For those who don't know, our childhood friend, Danny Sharp, has been battling bladder cancer for 5 years and recently received news that issues have progressed.

We're hosting a fundraiser on May 20th at Romer's bar in Bellbrook but we're also hoping to raise more funds here for people who can't make it to the event. Or for people who wouuld like to give more to Dan and his family.

Here are  some words from Dan's wife, Bree Sharp, about their story.

"As I thank Billy and Eric and all others who are arranging this amazing event, I just wanted to update everyone on Dan's condition. Despite the extent of his disease, it is hard to believe, because he still looks amazing and handsome as ever!! As many of you may or may not know, my husband Dan has been battling bladder cancer for nearly 5 years now. He has endured countless treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, countless tests, scans, biopsies, etc. He has spent many days and nights in the hospital between here in town and Cleveland Clinic. He is the strongest person I know, and fights against this disease daily, even though it has affected his ability to walk and has stolen many opportunities from him in life. You see, cancer isn't like losing someone suddenly, like a heart attack, car accident, etc. Cancer steals pieces of you bit by bit. Every time we receive news that the cancer has spread some place new, a part of us die!! It is and will continue to be the hardest thing I have ever had to endure and I am not the one with cancer. To watch my husband, who once was very athletic and active, become physically weakened by this disease is agonizing. Witnessing his physical and emotional pain break my heart, and I pray for his comfort and peace. We learned that he had a metastatic tumor in his pelvis in November 2015 and the doctors and prayer groups have fought this tumor and it returned. This week we learned Dan has a tumor on the back of his skull bone and left untreated will grow into the part of his brain that affects his eyesight. We have opted for radiation to treat this tumor. His PET scan has also revealed that he now has tumor in many of his bones and several spots in his liver. Although we have not given up hope, we are VERY saddened, angry, and disheartened by this news. We continue to discuss a treatment plan with the doctors, but more importantly place our faith in our Almighty Father God. For He is the ultimate healer and has His hands on Dan and our entire family. Through God's love, grace, and mercy we are able to endure what each day brings us. No matter the outcome of Dan's disease, he is completely at peace with God. He spends much of his day reading the Bible and devotionals and has faith that God is in control. Please and thank you for continued well wishes and prayers. God Bless. #PrayersforDanSharp"

Please help us take some of the burden of medical bills off this loving families hands while they're battling this disease.
