Dakini Rose Whitedeer Care and Final Expenses

As many of you may have heard, Dakini Whitedeer has been diagnosed with inoperable cancer, which has caused kidney failure. She has found a home at the Taos Retirement Village (a cash-only facility) where she is receiving Hospice Care. Please know she is currently not in any pain, in good spirits and surrounded by friends and family. Her children have opened this GoFundMe with the hopes of mitigating some of the costs associated with the Respite Room, her ever-changing dietary needs, and her final wishes. Her terminal diagnosis has given a timeline of anywhere from several weeks to two months. Any/all donations would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to sponsor a day or more at the Taos Retirement Village for Dakini, the facility charges 165.00/day at her current care level. Eventually, they will increase to $200.00/day.   For each donation over $100, we will put your name the wall in her room so she can see how many people we can get. The goal of $10,000 has been set to ensure a comfortable, caring environment may be provided during her final days.  All contributions will go directly toward her room/board, daily care and final wishes.  Any excess funds available at the time of her passing will be donated to the Taos Equine Spirit Sanctuary for their ongoing operational needs to rescue and provide a home for New Mexico rescue horses.
