Daily Bread for David

In December, our dear brother David was diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer and shortly thereafter found out that it had spread to his liver. 2016 had been a tough year for him in many ways with the closure of his restaurant in San Francisco that had been his "baby" for so many years, and then the diagnosis of cancer. He has been on unemployment searching for other jobs in the Bay Area, and is now waiting for disability to kick in. Ever calm and patient, he is in the process of navigating our lovely healthcare system and is waiting for Medi-Cal to be approved. David began his first round of chemo last week and will be getting a fresh dose every 2 weeks. Our family, more than anything, would appreciate your prayers for healing, strength and peace as David begins this journey. If you feel so inclined, a contribution to this fund will to help alleviate some of the costs he will incur: rent assistance as his disability doesn’t cover it , transportation to and from MD appointments, alternative treatments, and a second opinion on the best course of treatment. If you know David, you can attest to his love of family and friends and his unique joyful, gentle, child like nature. He seems to able to elicit a smile and a laugh no matter the situation!
