DAHLIA

Hello all animal lovers, this is a horrible case of abuse, neglect and abandonment! Dahlia, blind approximately 10 to 12 years old, was found wandering the streets, walking into cars, fences and traffic. A neighbor found her and took Dahlia to her home where she was fed, bathed and given love and attention. After days of searching to find a specialty rescue or sanctuary that could take care of her, as she desperately needed alot of care and attention and with many people involved we found Heaven's Gate Sanctuary. They drove for 2 hours to come pick her up and brought to their vet on the way to her new home. The news isn't so great. First she had been used to breed over and over again and when she got sick, she was dumped!! Dumped in the streets, blind and sick! The vet reports her list of illnesses present at this time are; several broken teeth, eye infection, ear infection, blind, skin infection, she may need her eyes removed due to the infection and pressure built up behind both her eyes. It was obvious she had had been sick with infection for a very long time and  she was not taken to a vet to get treated and healed. If that isn't enough, If you can believe she might be pregnant.! With these illnesses, she is on 5 medications and under 24 hour care. Dahlia, deserves the love, kindness and respect that she had not received in the past. Through all this, Dahlia is a very sweet, loving and timid. She loves human touch and to be with people. She is always smiling  and wagging her tail. She is a strong one to say the least.

Dahlia is at the sanctuary, after a long day she was just fed and walked. She found a soft, cozy bed, the love and kindness of her new family she always deserved. 

Please help me raise funds for Dahlia and the Heaven's Gate Sanctuary. These people take in the elderly, sick and the toss always. They give everything to help the helpless! When I explained  Dahlia and her situation, they didnt not hesitate, they came and picked her up right away!!!
