Daddy's Battle

I am creating this campaign with hopes of helping my daddy with bills and saving for funeral expenses. On August 31st 2018, all of our lives changed! After being seen in the E.R. for abdominal pain, a CT scan revealed multiple masses and large pockets of air and fluid on his stomach. He was immediately transferred to U.V.A. where he was admitted to Surgical Intensive Care to prep for a possible emergency surgery. He had a very bad infection in his blood that they had to control before proceding with surgery. Fast forward to today and he has went through 2 Parenthesis, ( removing fluid off the abdomen) a blood transfusion, Upper G.I., a Endoscopy, ( where they place a camera down your throat into your stomach to check for bleeding, tears, etc) and a biopsy to one of the masses on his chest wall. He is fighting so hard to get home even of we may not have the best diagnosis to go home with. See my dad is a private man and a very proud, strong, yet gentle soul. This is a man who has done so many things for so many people without anything in return. He would give you his last dollar if he seen you needed it more. He is a wondeful grandfather to his two grandchildren and a great father to me and my brother. He has no insurance or income to fall back on and should something happen to him my mom cannot afford his funeral expenses. He has qualified for disability and possible Medicaid, but we do not know when that will come. He has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer which is terminal and uncurable. He understands what that means, but also wants to live as long as he can, and enjoy life as much as he can every day. He has quite a road ahead of him yet to face but is prepared for the fight. One of the things we hope to see him visit once he is well enough, and gets out of the hospital is the Cass Scenic Railroad in WV. He has talked about that for years and never got around to it. My mom is not able to work, and with no vacation time they are left without income at this time. We appreciate prayers and any donations you can provide.
