Hello Friends, Families, & Relatives,
On May 22nd, 2019 I lost my dad at 4:37 pm. I was at the Minneapolis Airport waiting for my flight at 5:30 pm to come see my dad in Owasso, Oklahoma because I have heard that he has been really sick lately. As I was waiting for my flight my phone was being blown up by my mom and sister. I picked up my phone, and that was when the news broke to me that my dad has passed away. My dad, George Wa Pao Hang, passed away at the age of 63 years young just three days after his birthday. My dad is and was a strong, kindhearted, & respectful individual. As his youngest son, I am filled with so many regrets that I was not able to see him off and to say my last goodbye and even my last “I Love You Dad."
Growing up, I would remember the times my dad would take me & my siblings fishing & the times he would walk couple blocks to pick me up from school when I was in Kindergarten, and he would give me a piggy back ride because he did not want for his son to get to tire. Although, my dad lacked the knowledge of how to speak English, he always work-hard, strives, and persevered to make sure his children would and can be the greatest that we can be. I am currently a Junior in college attending Saint Johns University, the first in my family ever to attend a Four year University. It saddens me that I've worked so hard, and I am so close to graduating but my dad would not get to see me walk across that stage and get my degree. It saddens me that as his youngest son, I was not able to see him off one last time. It saddens me so deeply that I cannot afford to give him anything to show my love to him. So, I am asking everyone, friends, families, & relatives to all please help and support me at this moment to help celebrate the life that my dad has lived and the legacy he has left behind.
