JHPA Cheer (Birmingham, AL

The John Herbert Phillips Academy cheerleaders of Birmingham, Alabama have been invited to perform in front of 60,000 fans at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida on January 1, 2019! The teams invited to perform in the pre-game performance are trophy winners from Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), and other cheer brands under the Varsity Spirit umbrella. The 7th and 8th grade Cheerleaders of John Herbert Phillips Academy work throughout the entire year to boost school spirit and pride. They host pep rallies, cheer for our football and basketball teams, and have also participated in cheering on Breast Cancer Survivors, Warriors, and their families at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. To ensure that our cheerleaders are prepared for such events, we attend UCA summer camp and year-round stunt training.

     Being invited to perform at the Citrus Bowl is an amazing honor for this team. Our cheerleaders work continuously throughout the year to become better student athletes, and are so deserving of the honor and excitement that comes with this opportunity. As a team, we pay for training, practice and warmup gear, uniforms, pompoms, and competitions to ensure that we represent our school as best we can. Because of this, we are asking you to help sponsor some of our squad’s expenses for this trip through a donation of any size.
