On July 26, 2014, my father-in-law, Al Albarez, suffered a massive heart attack. Al has been fighting for his life for the last three weeks and to the surprise of all his doctors he has already climbed a mountain; but he has yet another small hill to climb in a few weeks, that being open-heart surgery.
Al is an amazing father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend with a heart of gold and full with love. Those who know Al personally, already know he is a very caring and loving person who loves nothing more in the world than spending time with family and friends, especially with his two beautiful granddaughters. Al loves the city of Plaquemine, where he was born and raised. He has given to so many in his community without any expectations. Al has participated in many charitable events whether it was putting on a benefit, cooking for a benefit, or just being there to support those in need and for that I feel its our turn to give back to him. He is not one to look for a hand out but we feel, as his family, that it’s only right to try and help he and his wife through this very stressful and uncertain time. We want to relieve some of this financial burden and get him the best medical care out there. Any donation of any size will be so unbelievably appreciated. Thanks to each of you, we could never thank you enough.
