Help Expand Our Family

We are Ryan and Nichole; we have been married for eight years.  Our family consists of two dogs and us, however we would like to share our love and ourselves with children.  Before we were married, we discussed what our family would look like and it included children and dogs.  We adopted our two dogs from the pound and began trying to get pregnant.  For 5 years, we tried to conceive without any medical assistance.  In 2014 we sought medical advice.  The doctor told us that we would have to use fertility treatment in order to conceive.  We were heart broken, but still determined.  We tried intrauterine insemination (IUI) in October of 2014 although without success.  This was a heartbreaking moment in our journey to have children after 6 years of trying on our own and a failed medical attempt.  Our doctor informed us that the only option to conceive would be with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).  We discuss whether this was the appropriate option for us, and decided that it wasn’t.  We decided adoption would be the choice to grow our family.  

In September 2015, we attended our first adoption meeting and couldn’t be happier with our decision.  Since September we have been attending several adoption agency meetings trying to find the agency best fits our family.  We have found an agency that we are comfortable with and have decided to continue with the adoption.  We have learned that adoption could cost as much as $24,000.

We started saving money in December of 2014 because after the unsuccessful IUI fertility treatment, we were told IVF was the next step for us to conceive, and would cost approximately $22,000.  We were able to save $2,000.00 so far.

The money we are raising will cover our home study, pre-adoption services, placement services, and post-placement services; which is all due before the finalization of the adoption.  Payments are made throughout the adoption process, and the next portion is due at the home study, which is $5000.00.  It would be such a wonderful blessing if we could raise all the money by June 2016.  This money will assist in paying for the fees to grow our family. 



The adoption agency informed us that the average wait time is 15 months.  We are asking for the support from anyone (all those who can imagine not being able to have children).  Being able to share our love with a child means so much to us; it would be a dream come true.  We have started to prepare our home for children and are very grateful for all your support.  Thank you doesn’t seem quite enough.  We could not even begin to express our words of gratitude for all your help and assistance growing our family.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
