Help For Our Mom!

We are reaching out to the public to help our mom, who was just scammed out of $4,300 to fix our driveway. It had been eroding over the years and finally got to the point where we needed to do something. With the upcoming predicted hurricanes this year we got worried and reached out via Facebook for excavation work. Our ad stated must be licensed and insured. A man reached out to us and assured he had the proper paperwork, licenses, etc. He was friendly, approachable, intelligent and assured us the problem wasn’t as hard of a fix as we were expecting. Never having dealt with this kind of work we didn’t know to ask for proof of certificates/licenses etc. 

Long story short the driveway was repaired twice under his work and failed both times, proceeding the second failure we asked he step away so we can find another company to work with. He then demanded payment from my mom while she was home alone; her being a very timid woman, wrote up a check just to get him off our property due to his threatening manner. This man then immediately blocked all family members off social media and essentially disappeared. Leaving us with an unsafe driveway where only a 4x4 truck can get across.

We are working under a lawyer’s instructions to have this taken care of, but chances are we will never see this money back from him. We have since found out he has “conned” others and has A&B charges against him as well. 

We are now reaching out to the public for help after expending ALL our resources on this “repair” and once again are left without a safe driveway and now need help in affording another LEGIT company to fix.
