Helping baby Ryan
Baby Ryan was born September 20, 2018 to my son and daughter-in-law, Bradley & Caitlin Sullins from Checotah, Oklahoma. He is an IUGR baby. He is currently in NICU at St. Johns hospital. He had a hard time growing inside his mommy. He had to be born a little early at 37 weeks.. He weighed 4 pounds and 14 Oz at birth and was 17 3/4 " long. Ryan was born with a bilateral kidney problem. I wish I could explain what it is but we are still seeing specialist to get a diagnosis. He also had to be on a Cpap machine. He was born with off set pupils in his eyes. We are waiting for a pediatric ophthalmologist to visit him. He has splints on his little feet and ankles to keep them from turning in. With all the time being spent at hospital, his mom and dad could use some help with expenses . We would truly appreciate any help anyone could give. Prayers are appreciated also.+ Read More
Baby Ryan turned 1 month old today. He is now home with his loving family that adores and loves him. We did get some sad news last week when we learned he is blind. He was born with folded retinas and has coloboma in both eyes. He is doing good considering the situation with the charge syndrome. He has grown to 6 pounds so far. He still has several specialist and therapist to see. Being that he needs a lot of special care and has several doctors appointments ahead, his family could still use all the donations and prayers they can get. We appreciate anything anyone can do. Thank you all for your support and prayers.
Baby Ryan has reached 5 pounds!! yay! He's putting his weight back on with help from some special formula in addition to his breast milk. We are still working on him keeping up his own body temperature. He is still in incubator in NICU for now. Please keep him in your prayers.
Baby Ryan has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Charge Syndrome. This is what has affected his kidneys, eyes, feet, ears and growth. He is still in NICU at St. John's hospital. He has lost a little weight lately but they are working on helping him regain it. He's having a hard time keeping up his body temperature so he has been put back in the warmer for now. He has some things to overcome before he can come home. His mommy and daddy and I are there with him every day. He is absolutely precious and so loved. Please keep praying for our precious baby boy. If you are able to donate to help with costs that would be great but we understand if you can't. Just please pray.
