Cancer Sucks, but People are Amazing!


My husband told me that nobody cares anymore in this world, I want to prove him wrong!  I believe people are good and kind and loving and generous.  I have hope! 

I was diagnosed with breast cancer that metastasized to my lymph nodes and vascular system in 2017 at age 41.  I had to have a double mastectomy, did chemo (the lovely Red Devil chemo) and radiation. During that time, I developed severe back and tailbone pain caused by the chemo. I am currently doctoring down at The Mayo in Rochester, MN. The doctors think the chemo weakened my bones to the point that I now have to have part of my spine/tailbone removed. I am scheduled for surgery on June 20th. 

I have been been unable to work since June of 2017 and was terminated from my job because I was unable to do it (I understand that they had to let me go, but it doesn’t make it any easier). I loved my job!  I worked with the most amazing kiddos as a special Education Paraprofessional. I miss it dearly! 

Why did I start a go fund me page?  Well, I need help!  I don’t ask for help a lot, and when I do, I truly need it. We have a lot of expenses and we may have to find a new home to live in so it’s more handicap accessible.  My husband works hard for us, but is overwhelmed with all the expenses not covered by insurance.  If you can spare even $1.00, it will be greatly appreciated. 

I have a strong faith in God and know he will provide what we need, but my faith has been shaken to the core from all of this! I try to remain positive and try to find the good and beauty in the small stuff! Thanks for checking out my page!
