I am a first-year teacher at Greenbelt Middle School, located in Prince George's County Maryland. As a teacher, I know it's not the most prestigious and lucrative profession. But the reward comes from seeing kids grow, learn, and develop into young adults and harness their potential within the confines of your classroom.
This upcoming school year will be my very first year of teaching. Coming into my first year as a teacher, I want my students to feel welcome, comfortable, and excited about coming into my class to learn everyday. I have big dreams for these students, and for my room as well. As a new teacher, fresh out of college with loans and other expenses that recent grads transition into, I have nothing besides office supplies to put into my classroom as of now.
To bring this classroom to life, I need your help!
Your contributions and donations will go directly towards decorations, supplies, learning materials and other classroom essentials that will benefit more than the 100 students I will be teaching over the course of this year. Every dollar helps! If there is an excess amount of money, it will either be donated to the schools SGA or PTA funding, or a local charity within the Prince George's community.
For those who decide to donate towards this cause, I will post pictures of the room throughout its progression!
