CYUP Trip to Nationals

Chicagoland Youth United Performance was founded in 2015 by Tony Jones and Jeffery Bryant. This club is for individuals who are interested in becoming better overall athletes. This consists of developing mental toughness, physical fitness and team work skills. Our goal is to develop future leaders in the community on and off the track.

All of the qualifiers are proud athletes for the Lane Tech Track and Field program. Recently, all of the girls were a part of Lane's team that took second place in City.  Sarah Olojo went on to place fourth at IHSA 3A State Finals for Lane Tech. She will continue her jumping career as a Division 1 athlete at Loyola University in Chicago. The 4x800 advancing consists of Hannah Vander Meulen, Camille Forte,  Stephanie Suarez, and Audrey Caulkins. Three of whom competed at IHSA 3A State Prelims. Noah Davis was a part of Lane's frosh soph team that won the Chicago City Championship. Noah Davis competed at the Boy's Track IHSA State Sectional as a part of Lane's varsity squad. He placed fifth with an amazing personal record of 40' 8.5. 

The donations collected are going towards CYUP's upcoming trip to Greensboro, North Carolina for USATF National's Meet. The club's six qualifiers are Sarah, Noah, Camille, Hannah, Stephanie, and Audrey. The funds will be used for transportation and lodging. Being that the coaches and qualifiers are driving out to North Carolina and staying for six days, the trip is very costly. The goal is to raise money to lessen the financial burden of this trip on the families of our young athletes.
