Cyndy Mazer Heart for the Arts

This past week our community lost a crown jewel. Cyndy Mazer was a tireless and selfless supporter of our local theater and choir programs particularly in the high school arena. For the past 15 years+ Cyndy took on many leadership roles in the theater and choir booster programs. She worked at every event and volunteered behind the scenes making costumes, organizing events for show nights, and acting as a chaperone for hundreds of students. She was never without a smile and a positive attitude.
Cyndy's love belonged to her three daughters. She very successfully raised three strong beautiful, driven young women. The girls generous hearts directly reflect their Mother's influence.
As a community we would like to honor Cyndy's wonderful spirit by establishing a scholarship fund. This fund will be used to help high school theater and choir students with the financial expenses associated with the school programs in Floyd County Indiana. Some expenses may involve travel to competive stages, overseas travel to various choir and theater festivals. The funding will be made on an individual need basis by application.
