Keith & Aubrey need help with the cost of this race!
Keith is racing the Trans-America Bike Race this summer. Please help us defray the costs of this endeavor. We need to support ourselves while we raise money for the Lupus Foundation of America through their Make Your Mark Project . Your donations through this GoFundMe will go towards food, a warm hotel room, gear and travel expenses.
The Trans Am Bike Race is a 4,300 mile solo, unsupported race across the United States, spanning 10 states. On June 2nd, Keith will be taking his place on the start line in Astoria, Oregon - trekking through the Rockies, across the plains, up and over the Appalachians and finishing in Yorktown, Virginia.
This race has a bigger meaning then just riding a bike.
We needed to do something big in memory of Aubrey's brother, Vincent Toensing. Vince was diagnosed with lupus at 17. He was an amazing friend, son, brother, father, and husband. Memorial Day, 2016 he was unexpectedly taken from us.
How You Can Help
You may not know me, Aubrey or Vince; but if you or a loved one has been affected by lupus (even if you weren't), please show your support for our project! This is a way to fight lupus, honor Vince, and work through the grieiving process the only way I know how; riding a bike.
This is us trying to do something, us not giving up!
We are working diligently so Keith is able to participate in the Trans Am Bike Race in memory of Vincent Toensing, in support of Lupus research, and to raise money for the Lupus Foundation .
