Customs Nightmare

Carrie is my sister. She is a Canadian Citizen and has had a hell of a go trying to be a legitimate Green Card holder down in California. She lives there with her husband, Christian, and she is a legal working immigrant.
Carrie and Christian are two of the best people I know. They got married in January, and instead of trying to save and plan a wedding that a lot of family wouldn't be able to attend (we are literally scattered all across Canada), they took their savings and planned their dream honeymoon!
On August 11th, they started their journey to Bali. Their round trip flights were booked, and Christian had carefully planned their Air BnB's in all their destinations. Once arriving in Bali, Christian breezed through Customs, but Carrie did not. Right before the trip (literally, two days before) she had to get a temporary passport (passports/green cards expiring, yadda yadda). They got this all sorted out and they thought they were in the clear.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. The Indonesian Customs required her to have a Visa (you are not typically required one if you are travelling for holidays under 30 days). They are now deporting her and they are being held in the holding room. They were able to shell out some money to go sleep on some couches in a lounge for under 12 hours. Security is with them constantly. They are being treated like criminals.
At this point, it is likely that there won't be anything for the Canadian Consulate to do to help mend the situation, and Carrie will be deported back to LA.
I'm hoping to help raise some money to cover some of the funds they lost on wasted flights, and accommodations that won't be used, and I'm hoping once they land back in LA they can turn around and go somewhere they know they won't get turned away from. They have the time booked off work (two weeks), and they both really deserve this chance to travel together (first timers!)
