Photographer Needs A Home

Who I am

A Chico native, and local photographer with photo projects that include Bidwell Park wildflowers (2011 to present), Show Cars , and images (and video) of the local music scene (2007 - present).

What Happened

I suddenly lost my home after my roommate (wheelchair 25+ yrs) passed away, rather suddenly. His family insist I leave before the legal time limit in California, but offer his truck (I have no vehicle) to help me move. So, I move.
Over the past six years my roommate helped me and was my biggest supporter. And I helped him in a variety of ways around the house as his workers were only available a few hours a day. After six years of unpaid work, I was scheduled to work for him this fall, and be paid. He return home was delayed several times, then he was only home a week, before returning to the hospital.

But losing him left me without any funds to help myself, and a short timeline that would challenge even those financially prepared for all sudden changes in life.

How Money Will Be Used

If people would like to help, a simple donation of $10 will help me cover immediate food costs (diet: rice, black beans, spinanch, oatmeal, eggs), a bus pass, the tools needed to repair my bike, and my storage unit fee to protect my photography equipment, business equipment and supplies. and my personal property.

If there were enough donations, I would rent a room to continue my work in photography, and WordPress sites, and security while seeking other employment, as well.

After paying for a storage unit, I will have less than $25 to my name. So any donation will help.

My Immediate Future

As of Christmas night, I am staying in a corner of a small trailer where two other people already live. My photography studio and gear will be locked away in storage along with most all of my belongings.

More About Me

Complicating my last year was two physical injuries that I've spent months recovering from. Those injuries slowed the progression of my businesses. I am still dealing with a very weak shoulder from an injury, months ago.

I volunteered in my teen years, coached teams of younger athletes, played sports, and have officated high school and college sports for 15 yrs to give back to the community.

I've volunteered over 1000 hours at Woodleaf Outdoor School (Shady Creek, now) before being hired on staff as a naturalist. Working on those amazing teams and wonderful students will always be a most cherished memory.

I've never been arrested or had any substance issues. I am a good person that simply needs help getting restarted. My photography business is set to flourish.

All donations can be credited 100% to any future photography business with me. Just let me know, and we can deduct it off the invoice. Thank you.
