I am a non-binary relationship and mental health counselor raising funds for my private practice, Intersections Counseling.
Having attended counseling for my own healing throughout the years, I understand the importance and efficacy of working with a culturally competent counselor who shares lived experiences with the client. With this in mind, my chosen focus is on communities at my own intersections of oppression and privilege - LGBTQIIAA+ people of color, as well as those in polyamorous and kink relationships. I also provide counseling to families in transition when one or more members begin the process of coming out or affirming their gender identity, as well as offering pro bono services for non-binary and trans individuals who would otherwise be unable to access care.
Through the framework of social justice, I help my clients learn effective and non-violent communication, build and maintain healthy relationships, cope with the realities of living in difficult times, attain empowerment, and reach a state of self-actualization.
Once my practice is firmly established, I will expand my services to include, diversity and inclusion counseling for organizations, counseling retreats and workshops, as well as clinical supervision for licensed professional counselor interns.
All funds raised through this campaign will go towards startup costs.
