Earthquake Relief Fund

Hi Everyone,
On Sunday 12/11/2017 an earthquake of 7.3 magnitude struck my hometown Sarpol-e Zahab, Kermanshah province in Iran. It’s been reported this devastating event has killed 530 people and injured more than 8,000 others, and left the population of the affected areas displaced. However, those numbers are not a true reflection of the devastation as reported by Iranian government authorities. Iranian government authorities are known to have always minimised the true extent of natural disasters and incidents that happen in the country to avoid local scrutiny and International condemnation for their lack of appropriate response.
Since 1979 a dictator regime has taken over Iran. This regime’s only focus is on maintaining power even at the risk of its own citizen’s lives. Time after time following disasters/incidents the regime leadership has failed to support those in need of assistance. Following the 7.3 magnitude earthquakes the international communities have reached out to Iran to provide aid. However, Iran has rejected the international aid as the regime does not want international presence and involvement in the affected areas (for various political reasons, e.g the ongoing mistreatment of the ethnic/religious minorities within the affected areas. Note that the United Nations has continuously condemned the regime for violation of Human Rights against religious minorities). Furthermore, the regime is even preventing its own local people from reaching out to aid affected areas in fear that this would lead to tension and political uproar.
The earthquakes have affected an already impoverished area consisting of small towns and villages. The donations will directly be sent to the surviving elders of the families to support them with re-establishing their lives once again. Their lives depend on our generosity and any help is greatly appreciated. Please support this cause by donating and spreading the word to your friends, families, colleagues and social network.
