CTOWN 2019 Prom

Charlestown High School is located in the northernmost neighborhood of Boston and serves almost 1,000 students from across the city.  Our students are mainly from Roxbury, Mattapan and Dorchester. This year, the Senior Committee at Charlestown High School is especially excited for Prom.  Our students do not have the "Winter Formals" and "Spring Dances" that most schools are able to provide. For us, Prom is much more than just a dance. Prom is a right of passage.  Prom is a time that our students come together and celebrate all the hard work they've put in. It is the grand concluding celebration before they go on to their future colleges and careers.  It is our gift to our students; a final party. A "thank you" for waking up every morning, traveling up to an hour and a half just to get to school, and doing their best, every day. We are anxious to give our students the absolute best Prom we can - because they truly deserve it.

That’s why the Senior Committee is asking for your support. The student body at CHS is one of the most diverse in Boston. The Senior Committee hopes to offset the costs of Prom and ensure that all students, regardless of their families’ financial status, can participate.


Faculty Advisor Jenna Silver is working with the Senior Committee to collect donations and other forms of support. Your participation as a sponsor of the 2019 Charlestown High School Prom will ensure that all students can access this important high school event.
