Therapy for Hien ...

Hi everyone Nicky here,
As a teenager I first travelled to an orphanage in a village called Ba Vi in the North of Vietnam. I have returned a few times since as the orphanage quickly found a place in my heart.
Children and adults at the orphanage, experience cognitive and physical impairments, including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome and many other undiagnosed conditions.
Volunteers and staff of the Red Lotus Foundation, known as Helping Hands, tirelessly work at the orphanage to improve the lives of its residents.
My twin brother and I are turning 21 and it would really mean a lot to us if you were to contribute to this worthy cause for our birthday.
The Red Lotus Foundation and I have chosen for a couple of children and adults to receive therapy every week. These individuals are a little older and have never received consistent therapy over a long period of time. One of these adults is one of my favourites Hien. If you know me, you would know of Hien! She is a little light in this world. Her smile continually lifts me up, even when I’m not there.
Hien has an undiagnosed neurological condition which affects her movement, muscle tone and posture. She is unable to sit up unsupported, feed herself, toilet or mobilise independently.
Recently she has been working on her fine motor and gross motor skills, which has resulted in her being able to build blocks with her feet and improve her neck control also.
We have chosen a couple of further children who will benefit from this extra attention and therapy. Their names are Khanh, Thuonh and Son.
Your money will go directly towards employing a lady who will implement therapy every week as long as the donations last.
