CSI's First Cohort Graduates

This fundraiser is to support CSI's first cohort of young women in Uganda complete their one-year training at Namasuba College of Commerce, to graduate, build on their small businesses, and be empowered to transfer their knowledge and skills to women and girls like them waiting for that opportunity to make their dreams come true. More than 70% of women and girls especially in developing countries, shoulder burdens of disease, poverty, illiteracy, discrimination, and more due to barriers mainly created by cultural attitudes and perceptions about them as a gender. Women and girls make up half of the world's growing population and in order to achieve local, national, and global goals, it is critical to ensure they are not left behind. 

Childbirth Survival International (CSI) , a global 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit founded in 2013, has earned the trust of community members and confidence of leaders in making significant contributions to benefit individuals and transform communities. Through funding from generous individuals (thank you! thank you!), two of CSI's ongoing programs: #SaveMothersofAfrica and #GirlTalkGirlPower are impacting lives of women and girls by breaking those barriers, changing behaviors, and creating enabling environments to benefit women, girls, and entire communities.
