Tragically and suddenly on Feb 1 2017, Crystal Morelli, a beautiful, kind hearted and fun loving mother, left this earth way too soon. Leaving behind devestated friends, family and a sweetheart of a daughter, Kiara.
Crystal was taken to a local hospital several weeks ago as she had not been feeling well. Diagnosed with a possible infection, she was give an antibiotic and she returned home. On Jan 24th 2017 after a few weeks of still not feeling well, she was brought by family to the local E.R. Again, they felt she wasn't in any life threatening situation and set out to discharge her. At the families begging and pleading, they agreed to keep her for "observation". Unknown to everyone involved, an undetected illness was progressing rapidly and wreaking havoc inside throughout my sister's body, depositing infection and destruction into all of her organs (slowly shutting them down). She had sepsis (an infection in the blood) and her body finally went into septic shock. By the time the doctors realized what was happening to her, her body had already shut down, and at the age of 37, after a day and a half in ICU, she passed away from this life and into heaven.
Crystal was someone that knew what to say to make others feel better. She had a contagious laugh and bright smile that welcomed even a stranger. She would light up a room with fun and humor. She fought for the underdogs who were bullied; She just had that kind of heart. She had an extremely close relationship with her family, they were also her best friends.
She inspired her friends, family and daughter with her amazing talents and creativity which included being a professional make-up artist. She and her daughter shared a passion for food and she loved her baby girl!
If this story wasn't already sudden and tragic, Her daughter is also fatherless. Kiara is now faced with living life without both parents. Kiara is a ray of sunshine like her mother. Kind, beautiful (inside and out), thoughtful and her Mom's shining star.
Kiara is beyond heartbroken. She has endured enough adversity and even with the drive and determination she exhibits, she will need help, being alone without her parents in this world. This is my effort to help her and my sister. Please help by reaching out to our family in prayer and support. Showing Kiara that God has a plan for her, that he provides and her worries and grief will pass.
No parent should have to bury their child, yet my elderly parents are faced with the emotional heartache and financial hardship created by my little sister, their youngest child's passing. They do not have the financial means to cover all the costs associated with her funeral and burial and the additional care of a young granddaughter. Any amount helps, nothing is too small.
All donations will go directly into a trust for Kiara which will pay for Crystal's funeral, burial, legal costs to protect Kiara until she is no longer a minor, all additional funds will be safety net for Kiara that she can continue to access to help her obtain and complete her education.
