Everyone who donates gets a seat at the next show, May 18!* You'll be on a list at the door. If you give $15 or more, check out the nifty bonuses below!
Our upcoming show is called Blemishes, May 18 at 33 Hawley Street, 7pm, co-presented with the Northampton Center for the Arts, suggested admission $10. It's a new play starring David Feinstein, Emily Hunerwadel, Andy McAlpine, Caroline Belle Stewart, Laura Willwerth, and Wilson Yerxa. Ish Klein is doing sound and lighting, and John Sieracki wrote it. It’s an absurd comedy mostly, about a young woman meeting strangers, how our assumptions and perceptions of each other change, and some other things.
You can’t make this stuff up. That’s why you have the CRVPT.
At the Connecticut River Valley Poets Theater, we operate on a bare-bones budget. People and their ideas and words are what matter to us, and that stuff is free. We are not incorporated, and each of us does this for the sake of art and to provide the local community with thoughtful fun. The few hundred dollars we raise this year will go toward space rental, props, costumes, and maybe a post-rehearsal pizza or two. If we don’t use it all, it will be saved for the next show. No one pockets any of it.
If you give $15 or more, here’s what else you get:
$250 - A hike to a secret chamber with the CRVPT -- or -- a private reading of a CRVPT play with the full cast.
$200 - A one-page play script extolling your virtues and devotion to the theatrical and literary arts.
$175 - The word or phrase of your choice worked into a performance of Blemishes (some restrictons apply).
$150 - Play Blemishes: The Game with the cast.
$125 - A photo of you with Caroline Belle Stewart in full regalia.
$100 - Half an hour in a room with David Feinstein, no questions asked.
$80 - A signed copy of one of Ish Klein's books of poetry, Moving Day or Consolation and Mirth -- your choice!
$75 - An actual prop used in a CRVPT performance.
$65 - Extra eye contact with you during a performance.
$50 - A peck on the cheek from Emily Hunerwadel.
$45 - Blemishes: The Game
$35 - A phone call from an actor who repeats their favorite line from a CRVPT play three times, in character. Text option available.
$25 - A CRVPT show poster signed by as many of us as are around, from this show or a past one -- your choice!
