Cruz Supports Shoes4Kids 2017!!!

My name is Cruz Romero and I support Shoes4kids! Later this June 2017, I will be attending the American Physical Therapy Association's NEXT Conference. At every conference, Shoes4Kids holds a community service event where they give shoes to children in need. This is my way of helping in a small way.

I decided to start my campaign because I was one of those kids when I was younger. Growing up, I didn't have the best shoes because my family didn't have much money. I would wear the same shoes for a couple years in a row. At times, I didn’t want to play at recess because the bottom of my shoes were broken and my socks would get so dirty. I remember trying to avoid walking in a certain way because my shoes would make a weird noise and my friends would notice. Shoes are a big deal especially when you are growing up. 

If you know me well, you know I don’t have a lot of money myself. However, I feel so strongly and identify so much with this cause that I have donated $50 dollars to the account to start it off. I welcome any donatations because it will go directly to Shoes4kids, but I will also work for your donations. I’m a young, able-bodied, smart guy and I want to see this event in Boston go well this year.
