Crush Corey's Cancer

Donation protected

As many of you know, Corey was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) on February 4th 2015. Over the past 3 years he has been able to take a daily oral form of chemotherapy and has truly lived life to the fullest while battling his illness with courage and grace. While battling cancer, he completed graduate school at Quinnipiac University and received his doctorate degree in physical therapy. Over the past 2 years he has been living in CT working as a full time physical therapist and has truly made an impact on the lives of the patients he has worked with. Over this past year, Corey has been on a clinical trial drug at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital in New York. The clinical trial drug has been keeping Corey stable but the doctors are afraid that since his cancer is not in remission he is in danger of the disease becoming an acute form making it make more challenging to battle at that stage. Corey has already exhausted the 5 other types of oral chemo and the doctors believe the only other option left is a stem cell transplant.  With the help of the doctors from Memorial Sloan Kettering and Dana Farber, Corey has made the decision to go through with the transplant that will be taking place at Dana Farber in Boston, MA on June 21, 2018. The procedure is a lengthy recovery including months spent at the hospital and Corey being unable to return back to work for at least 9-12 months.  Please help support Corey with the cost of medical bills through this tough time. Your help is greatly appreciated J
