Critical Thinking in Nigeria

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, is plagued by religious extremism and superstitions. These irrational beliefs often led to abuse and murder of women, children and elderly persons. Public enlightenment is urgently needed to transform the country.  Organizing public education and enlightenment programs and encouraging critical thinking among students and other young persons are necessary to eradicate witch persecution, ritual killing, and other harmful traditional practices in Nigeria.

With the original goal of $5,000, the Brighter Brains Institute, a humanist nonprofit in California, has already donated $1,000 in funds to this campaign. Now, the goal is $4,000.
