''El Nido de las Artes'' somos un colectivo de Circo y proyecto social, nuestro trabajo consiste en inculcar valores a la niñez y adolescencia de la comunidad en la que estamos situados (Boris Vega, Estelí - Nicaragua), los valores principales, son de cuido al medio ambiente y respeto. La comunidad, donde esta ubicado el local del proyecto tiene una historia de juventud en riesgo, así que los niños y niñas crecen con modelos negativos de personas. El Arte les recrea y aleja de las malas opciones de vida.
Los desacuerdos entre partidos politicos y población han introducido al país en una crisis económica, ya que las diferentes formas de protesta han causado escaces de transporte y trabajo, ademas entre tanto desorden se ha desatado un alto nivel de delincuencia que ha tornado las calles inseguras. Casi ha diario hay perdidas de vida ha causa esta difícil situación.
Los recursos económicos los necesitamos para las necesidades básicas, como luz, agua, internet, materiales de limpieza e higiénicos. Sin los necesidades básicas resulta mas difícil la realización de talleres Artísticos que llevamos a cabo tres días a la semana para 25 niños y niñas del barrio.
No sabemos cuanto tiempo tiempo va a tardar en mejorar la situación, desde ahora nos estamos viendo muy afectados y es posible que para el siguiente mes ya no tengamos recursos económicos.
Cualquier otro aporte que apoye al funcionamiento del espacio también es bienvenido.

"El Nido de las Artes" - The nest of artes is a collective of circus artists that also run a social circus out of a community space in the barrio of Boris Vega Estelí, Nicaragua. We work with children and adolescents from the neighborhood where there is a high influence of drug use and crime which is not only on the streets but in the homes of the children. We provide a space free of negative influences to support creativity and confidence. Art is an alternative option for the children of Boris Vega.
Right now in Nicaragua a conflict between the government and the people has put the country in a state of crisis. Protests have turned deadly, transportation and work have been stopped do to road blocks all over the country. As a result of all this there is a rise of delinquency and robberies making the streets unsafe and also putting a stop to our normal way of life. Usually we have performance gigs, birthday parties, and street lights to fund all the needs of the space, with the country in crisis our work has unfortunately stopped as well.
We are now trying to raise funds to cover the basic needs of the space like; electricity, water, internet, cleaning and sanitary supplies. Without these basic needs it will be difficult to keep the space open and continue the three workshops per week for up to 25 children of the barrio.
No one knows how long these conflicts in the country will last, if things will get better or worse. For now we have covered the basic needs for this month but are left with nothing to cover the following month.
