Creative Charitable Campaign

My name is Kristian Borstlap, I am 29 years of age, i am an artist and I reside in Margate, Kent. It is with great reluctance that i am here to seek your help with my initial start costs; if you were planning to donate to a friends medical emergency, disaster relief, legal aid for refugees, please do that instead.

~Here is my situation
For the last 5 years i have worked with many local organisations and charities and have personally made a lot of progress with my ambition run a creative business.  In February 2019 I intend to visit the Gambia, Africa with the charity Nice to be Nice Ltd.
It all started with two travellers handing out coloured crayons to children; Nice to be Nice has supported Badumeh-Kuta Lower Basic School in The Gambia since 2013 - providing school materials, basic clothing, food, stationery as well as sponsoring individual students and the school garden. Their support has helped enable the school to grow from 100 students in 2013 to over 350 pupils at the end of 2017.  (for more information please visit the website link at the bottom f the page)

Their Motto: To uphold dignity in education.

 My aim is to gain awareness and support though local youth engagement in East Kent, i will work with local schools and clubs to run creative seminars in groups of a similar age to share the success stories of Nice to be Nice.
I will host creative projects and public sponsorship events to really  rally up local support and to do that,  to spend the dedicated time to make it happen, i have to find a way to make the rest of the years rent and basic living expenses and £2000 will go a long way to help me towards that goal. 

A brief example of creative classes will include:
Mask making,
Animal life drawing classes,
Paper and garment screen printing. 
Batique and textile tie dye processes.

which will be free to all attendees.


Incentives:  Donations of over £150 you will receive a limited edition print.

For donations over £300  you will receive a limited edition print, signed by the children of Badumeh-Kuta Lower Basic School, The Gambia.
