I am raising money to help pay for the costs of a home education theatre group to keep going. The maddermarket theatre offer an invaluable opportunity to all those that attend. The group runs for children 11-18yrs of age for up to 18 children per session, children attending are home educated for a number of reasons and the group is made up of a mixture of children with additional needs, anxiety, those who were severely bullied in school and some who have chosen to home educate from the beginning. Currently due to struggling with fees the group may sadly have to close, this group has literally been a lifeline for my own child and many others that attend. They provide a supportive, understanding environment where the children feel safe, help them build confidence, social & communication skills and educational development. I am hoping to raise enough money to reduce the fees across this term  to make it affordable for parents to continue sending their children and so the group can continue, it will also open the group up to more children who other may not otherwise be able to attend. The children also gain opportunities to audition and take part in other areas of the theatre. Not only does it offer educational development for each child it also enables them to build skills to help them prepare for adulthood and further education including improving the mental health of many of the youngsters who access the sessions in a warm and friendly environment. I have set the amount we would like to raise to cover half of the term fees if we could smash this figure it would be great and secure the group running for all 3 terms of the year. Just £333 will secure this term by reducing the cost to parents by half making it affordable for everyone and facilitate the group to keep going.
