Creations Concert-Songs by Children
The Creations Concert is a labor of love for the teachers at the DaVinci Center for Musical Arts. It began 3 years ago to encourage young musicians to find their voice through creating their own music. Student compositions, created individually or in groups, are orchestrated, arranged, and played in a formal concert by professional jazz ensemble, chamber orchestra and Grammy winning pianist, Victor Mestas. Many students join the professionals on stage to play their pieces. Victor now regularly plays the children’s Creations Concert songs at his public performances (see video link).
In the past, the concert was largely funded by generous donors and the performing orchestra whose non-profit status brought a significant grant to the Creations Concert. Unfortunately, this fine orchestra is no longer available for helping with the project. Despite the past 3 years of grants and contributions, teachers still had to dig deep into their own pockets to make the concert a reality, which is no longer possible. We hope to raise enough funds from the gofundme campaign to replace the loss of grant moneys that are no longer available. To make this year’s Concert happen, we need $5000 just to break even. Venue rental, recording/video fees, Creations Concert Album (printed scores) and musicians’ fees are a few of the major costs.
The effects of this Concert are immeasurable for the students, families, teachers and musicians. Please consider supporting this inspiring event and sharing this information so that the true essence of music, coming from within, can be realized for our children. Many thanks and deep appreciation for every effort/contribution you make.

Grammy Winner, Victor Mestas, regularly plays "Sparkles" at his concerts, song by 10 year old Leah Barclay.
Thanks to you all, we have raised %40 of the total concert costs (including the Gofundme and gift card program) so the concert fees per student are dwindling. Yes!! Please pass around the link to friends, family, Facebook and also suggest they use a reloadable King Sooper card for our school to help reach our goal. Inspiring creativity....Go team!
