Creating for Life

I admit I'm not very good at this asking for money thing. My social networking skills are not exactly robust. I don't know how to use Instagram and my Facebook friends list is limited chiefly by my need to keep some distance from family and not make my life an open book. GoFundMe tells me I need to invite people and I know I have been negligent. It's not an exaggeration when I say I create for the sake of it, not for a monetary goal. But money is a fact of life as surely as oxygen is.

This is purely a campaign to get monetary support that keeps me alive, quite frankly. It's all straight up sincerity that I ask. No deceptive tales of woe here. I'm just an artist reaching out for help, with as much clumsy gestures as one might find. I have faith in the charity of people and the kindness expressed by that charity.

I've been creating a video portfolio using my YouTube channel, Graffiti Forensics, ever since I opened it in 2016

My productions contain original footage I recorded myself and licensed video and audio content. My videos are of a variety of themes ... sometimes exploring locations close by to me, sometimes creating animation or cartoons with my own voiceovers, sometimes a public service video .... I've been committed to uploading a new production once per week so as to keep the portfolio content fresh and my subscribers interested. I try to be authentic, and sometimes humorous, and always with regard to the discretion of YouTube's policy enforcement staff.

My passion for creating visual productions has been challenged this year, however, by the loss of my job in healthcare in the Fall of 2017. The doctor I worked for closed his practice near the Springfield, MA area and sold the property and he moved on to work for medical group local to him. It was after almost 10 years of my commuting from Providence, RI and Northeastern, CT.  During my tenure I developed high blood pressure and hypertension, and can no longer push myself the way I had been.

Now in 2019, I maintain my standard of a fresh production uploaded to my channel weekly. What I would really like to do is earn an income doing the creative work I enjoy so much. Everything costs something, whether it be a website or marketing of my YouTube channel. I've gotten modest help from family, namely my mother and my daughter. I don't know what would have become of me if not for their thoughtful assistance. My appreciation cannot be overstated. I come to those here who may want to help, even if by modest means they do so.
