This year, I will travel to Moldova on September 25 through October 5. I will be in Uganda from October 6 through October 15.
The trip and research will be documented and shared through my blog and Facebook. Utilizing photography, video and writing, you will be updated throughout the trip. Upon my return I will provide presentation of my work by presenting to groups and on-going writing and publishing.

MOLDOVA

CORAM DEO (based in Moldova)
FREE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF MOLDOVA (Universitatea Liberă Internațională din Moldova, ULIM).
In addition, I will visit the village of Vasieni to meet with Pasha Topada at Complexul de Servicii Geriatrice Integrate ACASĂ to explore a pycho-social project for her village in 2016.
This is a visioning trip to prepare for a 2016 project. The video above documents some of the work from my trip in 2012. This fall’s trip will further the work from 2012. In 2016 I will bring a team to Moldova. Our 2016 team will address training and support for people working in healthcare professions under extreme conditions. Specific issues to address include domestic violence, child burn victims, care of the elderly and child abuse.
UGANDA
After returning from my 2012 trip in Moldova I was contacted by Larry Rhodes. Larry is on the board for the ANTHILL FOUNDATION . Larry helped build a medical clinic in Uganda and has been working for several years in Uganda to address medical and health related issues. Larry asked me at that time if I would come to Uganda to help in addressing psycho-social issues. I have accepted his invitation and will make my first trip this fall.
I will be working in collaboration Larry Rhodes and the ANTHILL FOUNDATION . The primary purpose of this visit is to develop relationships with the villages and people. The specific nature the work in Uganda will unfold through the relationships and conversations and in partnership with the Anthill Foundation.
Possible issues to address in Uganda include:
Children who have been traumatized by war.
Addressing issues that have girls dropping out of the educational system at a young age.
For this frist trip, Larry Rhodes has encouraged me to focus on building relationships with people in country who are currently working to address educational and healthcare related issues. In addition, he suggest that this initial trip is an investment in learning about the culture. Larry is currenlty in Uganda and will be in there during my visit. He has arranged for me to visit several villages where I will meet with people working on current projects.
The work in Uganda is a visioning trip and I expect to bring bring a small team back next year to address psycho-social issues identified during this fall’s trip.
