Hi, my name is Craig McKnight, I'm 25 years old and live in Roma. Queensland, Australia.

My condition is a cerebral palsy (Leigh's Disease) - I live with my mum and dad (also my full time carers - age 65 and 62). The condition makes it impossible for me to walk and talk or even swallow food safely. I have spent all my life in a wheel-chair. This limits me greatly when it comes to going down town, seeing doctors away from Roma and just being able to have the enjoyment of seeing my friend & older sister, nieces and nephew who live several hours away.

So I am kindly asking for your generous support to help my parents raise a total of $35,000.00 to help pay for a car that will allow me to be transported easily and safely to other places, other than being at home all the time.

UPDATE !!
Our original cutoff date of mid October 2016 has been extended to late November as the funding source from the Qld. Government (VOSS) is no longer available in this area. The NDIS is starting here in January 2017 and will have funding to replace the VOSS Scheme. As it is unclear exactly how this will work, we will raise as much as we can through this page and other community support. And look forward to having a vehicle around December.
